Murfreesboro TN Homes: Finding Yourself on YouTube! My Franklin & Nashville TN HGTV Bang for Your Buck

Finding Yourself on YouTube! My Franklin & Nashville TN HGTV Bang for Your Buck

I've been thinking outside of the box lately for new marketing ideas for real estate in Murfreesboro and the surrounding area that I service.  I was searching for some unique real estate videos tonight on YouTube and came across...myself!  It was so weird to find a video of me that had been uploaded on YouTube by HGTV that I didn't even know existed.

I really enjoyed filming this episode with Vern Yipp and learned a lot from him during the taping.  He was very down to earth and a real pleasure to work with.  Best of all, I listed a home in Sullivan Farms in Franklin TN as a result of this show.  The seller called me from out of state to list her home and everything was done by fax.  Her home was listed, sold, and closed without her ever coming back to Tennessee.  The power of internet marketing is amazing.

So now that time has passed and we are in a different market than you were then, how would you assess your conclusions NOW?  Any change in their ROI that you would imagine?  Better, worse, no change?

Love your accent, impressive biceps :))))  HOW FUN to find something like this!  Exciting moment!  Great post!

Hi Mimi - I was actually thinking how much I would change my analysis when I watched this video based on the market today!!  Their ROI would be much worse!  Right now improvements like these really help a home to sell but don't necessarily add a lot of value to the home!

...and I am not a fan of my accent but as hard as I have tried I just can't seem to change it!  Michael Thornton just reminded me last week that it's how God made me, so I guess it's time I accept it!

Sherri, my daughter absolutely loves Design Star with Vern Yip.  And I agree with Mimi--love your accent, it is not a thick accent--just a subtle southern accent!

Sherri - That is so cool and I'm sure it's an experience you will never forget.

Sherri - I always was curious how that type of exposure affects popularity and translates into business. You share some light into this

Thanks Sonja - I guess I will have to accept that other people like my accent!  Ha!  Vern Yipp was great!

Hi Michelle - It was so much fun.  The crew really does a good job helping you relax and it was a nice break from my usual schedule.

Jon - Like they say, any publicity is good publicity.  It definitely paid off for me in business.  Plus, it was just a great experience that I will never forget.

Sherri, great video and retell the story of how you were selected to be on the show. You look great and sound great. Be well.

Good morning, Sherri. Great video and concept. I have been thinking of doing some stuff like this in this area. Let's talk...

Hi Cal - I sent a referral to an agent in Miami who did a lot of filming for HGTV.  He loved my accent (which is always funny to me!) and suggested the network contact me because he knew they were coming to the Nashville area.  HGTV called and requested I submit an audition tape - which I didn't do!  They called a couple more times and said they would give me their FedEX number and pay for shipping if I would just MAKE a tape and send it in.  I was so nervous trying to make a tape that I ended up drinking tequilia tor relax me and I rarely drink.  The tequilia kicked in, I made one quick tape and sent it in thinking that was the end of that opportunity!  They called back and I've filmed four other shows for them.  And it all started with a referral!

Sherry - I actually saw this show when it first aired. As a matter of fact, I think I've seen all the shows you've done for them. What an awesome opportunity. You are somewhat of a celebrity in these parts. And I love your accent as well.

Sherry - I found your blog on Mimi's post. How cool that you got to interview Vern Yipp, one of my favorite designers on HGTV! I love The Biggest Bang for Your Buck, one of my favorite shows. Congratulations on the interview - that's fantastic and what a big feather in your cap! And might I add you are in amazing shape!

Dear Sherri - This is a "WONDERFUL" story!!  I always wondered how the process works & the taping plays out.  I watch him all the time & love the show.  I did see these properties & I would have missed that it was "you" if it was not for Mimi's post as well.  Sometimes we don't always blend one world to another right away.  I am still pretty much a 'newbie', so still learning of others.  Congratulations!!  I am glad it was such a positive experience!!  Very cool that the referral came from a Miami Realtor ;-)!

Thanks Tammie!  I'm a long way from being a celebrity!  HaHa!  But it was fun to be treated like one for a couple of days!

Krissine - I love Vern too!  He was one of my favorite designers even before we taped the show.  I was so impressed with her personality.  And thanks for your compliment!

Hi Pam - It was a referral that paid off for me in more ways than one!   You never know when a referral is going to pop up which is why I love being on The Rain and networking with so many awesome agents!

How fun - you did a fabulous job - really relaxed and natural. By the way, I'm with Kristine - your arms are awe-inspiring. You must lift weights - right?

Sherri, I missed this post.  I am so glad Mimi re-blogged it.  It's excellent!  Glad to see your smiling face on TV.   Nice guns there by the way.
